Grom Patrol is Back! Sawasdee Thailand
Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol is a premier junior surfing series in Asia, founded in 2019 by Indonesian surf icon Tipi Jabrik and organized by the Asian Surf Cooperative (ASC). The event aims to nurture the next generation of surfers by providing a platform for young talents to compete, learn, and grow in a supportive environment.

Last year, the Phangnga Surfing Club and Phangnga Tourism and Sports Office partnered with the Asian Surf Cooperative to host the internationally recognized Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol youth surf competition in Thailand for the very first time. The event was met with an overwhelming response from young Thai surfers.

Building on that success, the competition gave Thai youth the chance to participate in a world-class surfing event, significantly accelerating their growth and development in the sport.

This year, the Phangnga Surfing Club and Phangnga Tourism and Sports Office are proud to bring Tipi Jabrik’s Grom Patrol back to Thailand — now elevated to an international-level event. The goal is to invite young surfers from around the world to compete and to warmly welcome everyone to Khaolak Surf Town.
